Dear Member,
It gives us great pleasure in inviting you for a business session with Thailand Government. The meeting is intending to facilitate discussion on the growing level of engagement between Thailand and India in the IT and ITES sector, as well as highlighting opportunities and areas for India based companies to successfully establish and grow their business in Thailand.
The Thailand Government is also keen to meet Indian companies that are already in Thailand to share with them how the Government can continue to support their expansion and growth. We strongly recommend our member companies to make use of this opportunity to interact with Ms. Kanokporn Chotipal, Senior Diplomat & Director of Investment from Board of Investment, Thailand India Office based at Royal Thai Consulate, Mumbai.

About Thailand’s IT sector: Thailand is Southeast Asia's second largest buyer of ICT products and services in the ASEAN region. In 2015, Thai public and private organizations as well as consumers spent as much as US$20.7 billion in total on the ICT markets.
Thailand’s reputation as a business-friendly country for foreign investment made it a leading center of commerce in Southeast Asia in the 20th century. Through a combination of low tax rates, world-class infrastructure, cost effective workforce, and strategic geographic location, Thailand has emerged as a globally recognized destination for service and industry sectors.
Now in the 21st century as trade shifts towards the internet and technology, Thailand is transforming itself into an economy that not only embraces the industrial, but the digital as well. The digital revolution has already greatly changed the way 67 million Thai citizens interact with the world and each other. Thailand has 35 million internet users and 30 million social network users. Currently, there are 96.4 million mobile phones in usage in Thailand with 34.6 million smart phone users.
Year 2015 marked some permanent shifts in trends of the overall ICT market, especially in the adoption of Third Platform technologies like cloud, mobility and Big Data analytics. Government of Thailand has also announced a variety of measures to increase the adapting of ICT by business.
“Come and interact with Government of Thailand to understand the opportunity.”
Warm Regards,
Brig. Harikumar, Executive Director, HYSEA Ph: 040 6453 2711
